Ground Hog Day is just over a week away and county leaders say they are expecting anywhere up to 40 thousand people to attend the events.  So with that many people security becomes that much more important.  But County Commissioners say they are not worried because all Law Enforcement Officials are working together.  Whether it's through security at Gobblers Knob or traffic around the borough the area will be secure.... 

A local Fire Chief who has served the community for almost two decades is now in need of help himself.  The Nanty Glo Fire Department is hosting a spaghetti dinner to raise money for Fire Chief Joe Lamantia.  Lamantia is suffering from a serious liver infection and the department is hoping to raise money to cover some of his mounting medical bills.
