The Altoona Police, the Attorney Generals Office and Bureau of Narcotics arrested five people last night on drug charges.  The investigators found significant amounts of heroin and cocaine inside a home on Eighteenth Street in Altoona.  The Police say Roman McCray was using the home to deal the drugs.  Just in the past week, there have been around fifteen arrests all together.  The investigators say this type of activity is common.  The investigators say they found the house by using the drug hotline called "push out the pusher.".... 

A local police chief is switching departments.  Chief Rick Skiles lost his job with the Windber police department when it was disbanded back in 2010.  Now that the department is being reestablished Windber Borough Council asked Skiles to come back to be the chief....

Pitt Johnstown kicked off its homecoming weekend festivities with the seventh annual Pitt-NIC yesterday afternoon in Central Park.  There was food, prizes, and special performances by students groups.  The event is a way for the University to reach out and celebrate with the community.
