A Tax Collector for Girard Township is accused of pocketing thousands of dollars that was meant to go to Clearfield County School District. The District hired a company to perform an audit on local Tax Collectors. Court documents show Lucinda Cardinale made excuses for not turning in her records and police say when she finally did there was missing paperwork. Police discovered Cardinale was supposed to stop handling the tax money at the end of 2011 because the duty was handed over to a different company. A Cambria County homeowner walks to take out the trash only to return and find his home on fire. Firefighters were called to the blaze along the 33 Hundred Block of Bigler Avenue in Northern Cambria yesterday morning. Crews had to cut a hole in the roof to ventilate smoke from inside. The cause of the fire is under investigation.... A Cambria County man will stand trial on charges of growing marijuana inside his mobile home in Nanty Glo. 52 year old Richard Wiedenhoeft waived his preliminary hearing Monday. Police say the pot growing operation was discovered back in January when EMT's were called to Wiedenhoeft's trailer on Loraine Road. After he had inhaled drain cleaner while trying to unclog a toilet. During their response, Officials found the pot growing in two bedrooms and a Police search turned up 60 plants. Packaged plants and 180 gallon storage container of marijuana.... If you happen to lose your bike in State College, apparently you can head to Twitter to find it. State College Police receive dozens of stolen or lost bikes each year. So in October they created a Twitter handle to get them back to their owners. It's called "Reclaim Your Bike" and on Monday someone did just that.
