Two people were hurt when the carport ceiling at a local hotel collapsed. Around eleven Wednesday morning Firefighters were called to the Hampton Inn in Richland Township where the carport ceiling fell on two workers who were underneath. They were taken to a local hospital but are okay. The Firefighters said the ceiling fell because of water damage from ice and snow build up this winter.... A burglary arrest where Police say they have caught a Somerset County man in the act. Somerset Police say they were called to a house on Harrington Lane. When they got there, there were footprints leading inside through an unlocked window and they found Jeffrey Flower inside. Police say Flower had been told to stay away from the home before. He is in the Somerset County Jail on 50 thousand dollars bond.... A downtown State College restaurant could soon be forced to close its doors. According to court documents the Sheriff's Department has been directed to close Rotelli's Restaurant on Calder Way and change the locks in the next thirty days because the owner of Rotelli's owes more than one hundred and ninety thousand dollars in back rent to the building owner.... A farmer was hurt when a truck ran into the back of a piece of equipment he was driving. State Police say the farmer was on a front end loader along Route 53 in East Carroll Township when an Xfinity truck hit the back of him. He was thrown off the loader into a field and had to be taken to a local hospital. The other driver was not hurt.... The Governor of Pennsylvania and the Mayor of Philadelphia met with Pope Francis yesterday at the Vatican. The meeting was originally scheduled to be private but ended up being held in front of the Pope's weekly audience in Saint Peter's Square. Mayor Michael Nutter and Governor Tom Corbett were hoping to convince the Pope to attend next year's world meeting of families in Philadelphia. The world meeting of families will be held in Philly next September. It's expected the event will attract one million visitors to the city.... The American Cancer Society once again hosting its Annual Ribbons of the event this year "there's no place like hope" and will feature entertainment from the Flood City Brass Band. Again the Gala will be held next Saturday night at Sunnehanna Country Club.
