Today is the official start of Trout Season, anglers up bright and early this morning heading to streams. And to prepare volunteers with the Paint Creek Watershed Association and Kiski Conemaugh Stream Team were stocking several waterway's in Windber Friday afternoon including Weaver Run. It's the first time in 80 years thanks to a grant from DEP that helped to install a treatment system to clean up decades worth of mine discharge. While the streams were being stocked anglers were at Gander Mountain picking up last minute supplies before the big day. The season officially starts at 8am Saturday. Those 16 and older must have a valid fishing license and are allowed to catch up to 5 fish, each one required to be at least 7 inches long. A challenge most say they can't wait to take on.... In other news, Police stumble upon 30 thousand dollars worth of heroin while making a traffic stop in Somerset County. They found 2000 stamp bags of heroin when they pulled over a car Thursday along the Turnpike in Somerset Township. Joe Molina-Delgado and Lewis Henderson are both in the Somerset County Jail.
