A Clearfield County man is behind bars after he allegedly planned to take a teenage girl out of state.
Police say in late September, Christopher Swoope, of Bigler, began communicating with a 14 year old girl on Snapchat.
Authorities say Swoope had planned to take the teen to South Carolina for two months to get her away from her parents.
Swoope is also accused of picking up the girl and assaulting her in his vehicle.
He is charged with multiple offenses, including felonies for kidnapping, interference with the custody of a child and corruption of minors.
He is being housed in the Clearfield County Jail
