Bail Revoked In Centre County Sexual Assault Case

A Centre County man who was out on bail facing sexual assault charges was charged a second time on similar criminal charges.

Just moments ago, a Judge granted the DA’s request to revoke the mans bail, and he is now back in custody at the Centre County Correctional Facility.

24 Year old Moncef Guen Jr. Was arrested Wednesday Night on sexual assault and related charges.

A woman telling Ferguson Township Police she had a previous consensual relationship with Guen, but after telling him this week they should no longer see each other, she says Guen strangled her and then sexually assaulted her.

A Magistrate set Guen’s bail at $85 thousand dollars, and he was out of jail Thursday Morning.

But back in May, Guen was arrested on nearly identical assault related charges, with that case still pending in the court system.

He was out on bail in that case, when arrested on the latest charges.

Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna not happy about bail for Guen being set after this week’s arrest saying quote it is unfathomable.

“I can’t understand how a District Justice could set bail, given the circumstances, and the fact he was out on bail on similar charges”

The District Attorney then requested an emergency hearing Thursday, asking a Judge to revoke Guen’s bail.
