World Trade Center Traveling Exhibit

The World Trade Center Health Program has opened a new traveling exhibit at the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County.

The exhibit is called “Health Effects of 9/11.”

It features the ongoing health consequences for people like the Shanksville responders who were exposed to toxins on 9/11 while responding to all of the attack sites.

The exhibit also includes 9/11 responder and survivor stories, images and information on the exposures.

Health officials say this exhibit raises awareness about the health consequences for those who assisted on 9/11.

“It’s really important to get the word out to the Shanksville responder community that this program is here, it’s a resource for them to help them connect the dots between their conditions and their 9/11 exposures and then to enroll in the program so we can help get them the care that they need and they deserve,”

The new exhibit opens on Friday and will be at the Flight 93 National Memorial until May of next year.
