Pennsylvania Is Key Battleground State In Presidential Election

Republicans are registering to vote for the upcoming election by more than double the rate Democrats are recently.

Voter data available Monday morning for each county across the state shows that nearly 80,000 of the about 150,000 newly registered voters are Republicans, and fewer than 40,000 are Democrat.

Republicans look to continue closing the gap of total voters in Pennsylvania, with about 300,000 more registered Democrats in the state.

Many of our local counties tend to lean red, like Bedford County which added more than 400 Republicans over the last four weeks, and thirty Democrats.

Others also fit the trend in the last four weeks, such as Clearfield County adding 13 Democrats of over 800 total voters and Somerset County adding just three Democrats with the over 600 new registrations.

Cambria and Blair counties each added around 1,400 voters in the last four weeks with more than 1,000 being Republican for each.

There are now over nine million voters registered in the key swing state.
