A former member of the Penn State Mens Basketball team filing a Federal suit claiming he’s been the victim of intimidation and slander, after leaving the team.
Kayne Clary filing the suit against various parties, including basketball head coach Mike Rhoades.
Clary was dismissed from the Nittany Lions team in early 2024, after first being suspended.
In the suit, Clary claims his dismissal was due to him speaking out against other members of the team, along with a disagreement over a Name, Image and Likeness contract.
Clary says he was the subject of false rumors, which eventually led to depression and damage to his reputation. Clary eventually transferred to another team.
Penn State and coach Rhodes have asked for the suit to be dismissed, claiming Clary’s allegations are “vague and scatter shot.”
