A special court hearing is scheduled this week for a current Penn State Trustee who’s seeking a judges’ ruling to get his name on the upcoming Spring Trustee election ballot.
Last year, Penn State’s Board Of Trustees changed it’s by-laws on how alumini candidates can get elected to the board.
Instead of being voted on directly by alumini a nominating committee was established to pre-screen candidates before they will included on an election ballot.
Current Trustee: Barry Fenchak was not approved by the committee for the upcoming election.
He filed suit claiming the nominating committee is unlawful and is seeking a court order to be included on the ballot.
Penn State trustee administrators filed a response, saying Fenchak didn’t consult with them before filing the emergency motion and denied the new nominating committee is illegal.
