The federal case against former DuBois city manager Herm Suplizio has been delayed another month.
Suplizio’s legal troubles began a year ago with his arrest on state charges for fraud and theft of public monies. Those were later withdrawn so the federal cases could play out.
Pre-trial motions were due this week, but Suplizio’s defense team asked for a third extension.
In court documents, his team says, “the government provided voluminous discovery to the defendant.”
His defense says they needed more time to prepare any responses.
The judge set a new deadline for the first week of May.
