Turning now to an Altoona couple facing charges after police allegedly found four children living in deplorable conditions.
Police say on Wednesday an officer responded to AJ and Lashawnda Anderson’s 7th Avenue home after a child was found alone at a nearby convenience store.
Police say that the home was littered with trash, rotten food and animal waste, and the residence was condemned after a code inspector examined the house.
AJ and Lashawnda Anderson are each charged with four felonies for endangering the welfare of children.
They were arraigned Wednesday night and are free on unsecured bail.
