We have an update in an ongoing Federal case against former Dubois City Manager Herm Suplizio and a fellow former city employee as the pair appeared in federal court today.
During the brief arraignment hearing held this afternoon via zoom
Both Suplizio and fellow city staffer Roberta Shaffer pleaded not guilty to the latest amended indictment.
Last month Federal Authorities announced updated federal charges in the theft and fraud case accusing the pair of misusing over $1.5 Million Dollars in city funds.
Investigators say the amended accusations violated federal financial laws and constituted money laundering charges.
Officials say both Suplizio and Shaffer face prison time and a hefty fine and both defenses have requested a jury trial in the case
