Boalsburg Shooting Ruled A Homicide

A deadly shooting from last year in Centre County is now being ruled a homicide,

And the District Attorney’s office is still waiting for the results of an extensive investigation that could bring on criminal charges.

Early morning hours of last December 17th. Police are called to this house along Boal Avenue in Boalsburg.

One of the residents, Chelsa Knepp is dead after being shot in the head

“It’s been ruled a homicide, somebody died from a gunshot wound, it’s important the public be informed of the status of it now, as well if there’s anybody in the public who has information regarding these two individuals”

Centre County District Attorney Bernie Cantorna, Wednesday, revealing more details about the deadly shooting including what police were told by Knepp’s boyfriend.

He said Knepp had a handgun, and the two got into an argument

“He stated to police he attempted to disarm ms, Knepp in a struggle over a handgun, the weapon discharged. The scene was secured. Pennsylvania State Police blood experts were called and documented the scene. As of today’s date that investigation remains open”

The investigation extensive State Police are examining blood splatter evidence from the scene, and there’s more testing expected on the handgun. No timetable on when or if charges may be filed.
