More than $40,000 will be given to the Clearfield-Lawrence Township Airport.
Our Zac Kaye spoke with the chairman of the airport authority Today and has the details.
David Schultz is the Chairman of the Airport Authority here at the Clearfield-Lawrence Township Airport and says they had to reach out to the County Commissioners because both the Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township have cut their payments to the airport in half over the last few years.
Schults says that the airport is owned by both Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township, who used to give them $10,000 each per year.
He says about three years ago, both municipalities have cut their payments to the airport in half.
He says they will use the nearly $45,000 from the commissioners for upgrades such as pavement and lighting restoration.
