We begin with developing news in Cambria County a Johnstown man convicted in his wife’s killing is now being charged in the death of a second woman…

That announcement is coming from of a press conference with investigators Today.

Reporter Brock Owens was at the conference and joins us now with what led up to the charges being filed?

Brian Giles was seen and heard with Jilly Todaro up to two days after when he originally said he last saw her officials say.

Later changing his story to police saying he saw her alive in the summer of 2021

“He was a predator.”

That’s Johnstown Police Detective Sergeant Cory Adams after an announcement Wednesday that Brian Giles is once again being charged with homicide.

Giles was convicted of the murder of his wife Nancy in June, And the new charges are for the death of his ex-girlfriend Jilly Todaro.

According to the criminal complaint Giles told investigators where Todaro’s body was after the conviction claiming someone else showed him where her body was.

Police say when Giles was arrested for simple assault charges against Todaro in 2020, A cell mate alleges Giles was oddly bragging about having killed three people

Officials say Todaro’s Hyoid Bone, which is a well protected bone in the neck, was fractured in two places.

Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees says generally that bone would only break from hanging, massive trauma, or strangulation, and the manner of death is being ruled asphyxiation by homicidal violence.

Lees says she also had two facial fractures.

“Those fractures, through anthropology testing, was confirmed to be perimortem, which is at or near the time of death.”

According to authorities, No evidence suggests Todaro knew Giles killed his wife about two years prior.

“I wish Jilly had known. Honestly, I don’t think we’d be here today.”

Neugebauer says prosecutors are discussing seeking the death penalty but have not yet come to a decision.

“We still have some work to do, and we will do it and we will seek justice for Jilly. She deserves it. The community deserves it.”

Whenever it gets to this point, A trial is expected in the case by officials, Who say they are looking forward to it.
