Johnstown Woman Sentenced In 2022 Homicide

A Johnstown woman has been sentenced to life in prison for her role in the 2022 death of an Indiana County man.

Earlier Today 20 year old Taylyn Edwards was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole for the killing of 19 year old Hayden Garreffa.

Edwards is one of eight people accused of killing Garreffa whose body was found in October of 2022 in a wooded area in Brush Valley Township.

Edwards reportedly stabbed Garreffa several times prior to his death.

In May she pleaded guilty but mentally ill to first degree murder for her role in the case.

Authorities note that the seven other co-defendants’ cases are still pending in court
