Local Woman at Risk for Huntington’s Disease

Huntington’s Disease is a fatal genetic disorder passed down in families from generation to generation. The disease causes progressive breakdown of nerve cells in the brain. Today, there are approximately 41,000 symptomatic Americans and more than 200,000 at risk of inheriting the disease, including, Ridgway resident Mary Bowers. We spoke with Mary about her journey.
