We have developing news in Clearfield County surrounding a homicide by vehicle and an alleged DUI case with one person in police custody
Here is a photo of the victim 81 year old Robert Father Bob Humenay, a Catholic Priest from Grassflat, well known in Winburne.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by coroners.
Officials tell us a man was struck and killed by a driver Sunday, on Sportsman’s Road in Winburne.
22 Year old Nathaniel Beers was charged with crimes relating to homicide by vehicle and driving under the influence.
Officials said Beers was allegedly driving a Side by Side, which crashed and fatally struck the pedestrian.
According to officials, Beers admitted to drinking three to four beers before driving home from the bar, and admitted to striking the victim with his vehicle
“Father Bob was a beloved local legend and hero. And we are so upset that we won’t see him walking our streets anymore.”
Pastor Wilsonradel said that she believes Father Bob’s loss will be felt in every household but that now is a time to pick up the pieces and continue loving one another.
Online court records show that Beers was arraigned Monday and has since posted bail from the Clearfield County Correctional Facility
