We have a developing story out of Clearfield County this afternoon.
An emergency situation is reported at the Immigration Detention Facility, where county officials say 2 inmates were transported to local hospitals.
We’re working right now to learn more what we do know is multiple ems crews were dispatched to the Moshannon Valley Ice Processing Center.
Officials with the Hope Fire Company telling us tonight that a half dozen crews from across the Philipsburg area responded to the facility.
They also say at least one medical helicopter was called to the scene. We are learning that the two inmates don’t appear to have life threatening injuries.
The Immigration Detention Center is the site of the former Mo-Valley Prison that can house more than 1000 migrants.
We’ve reached out to the Department Of Homeland Security, and State Police who tell us they’re working to provide additional information.
County emergency dispatchers say they’re not allowed to release any more information on the incident at this time.
