State election officials say a legally required automatic recount has been triggered in the Pennsylvania U.S Senate race as the results between Republican Dave McCormick and Democrat incumbent Bob Casey remain within one-half of a one percent margin.
McCormick currently leads Casey with 48.93 percent of the vote.
Officials say once counties finish counting their ballots, they must begin the recount no later than Wednesday, Nov. 20th, and they must report the results by noon on November 27th.
They estimate the recount cost will be more than a million dollars of taxpayer money.
