The “Lady Rangers” of Forest Hills are no strangers to success on the Basketball court. This year, the Team reached the Quarterfinals of the PIAA Tournament. Last year, they were LHAC Champions, District 6 Champions, and made it all the way to the Final Four in the State Tournament. Point Guard Remingtyn Smith was a large part of their success, and now she is continuing her Basketball Career in the Sunshine State.
Smith put pen to paper Monday morning as she signed to play Division 2 Basketball at Florida Institute of Technology. Smith had an outstanding Senior Campaign. She was named the Cambria County Defensive and Player of the Year. She also made 3rd Team on the All-State Team.
She said the Panthers play a fast pace game, which she will fit right into. Smith thanked her Coaches and Teammates for all the great lessons and memories she’s made which will help her in her next journey. See video for more comments from Remingtyn…
